Help & FAQ

Boost & Stealth

Boost is a convenience service designed for quick liquidity needs. For example, if a user runs out of funds in their Lightning wallet and needs an immediate balance refill, Boost pushes Lightning liquidity to their side instantly. This service is available to both NextLayer and non-NextLayer users, and a small fee is charged for each Boost operation.

Stealth is a convenience service available exclusively to users running a NextLayer Client Node. It currently provides two core features:

  • Fast Merchant Payments: Stealth users can make purchases at participating merchants with an extremely fast, fully automated payment flow.
  • Automated Member Payments: Stealth users can set up automated payments to other Stealth users (e.g., paying recurring monthly dues on the website).

The rebel node is Next Layer's next iteration of client capability. It is a non-custodial NL node which does not require KYC. You simply load it up and you can use it in either: Rebel Mode or Client Mode. In Rebel Mode, no identifiers, such as Stealth are enabled, providing you with privacy not only from bad actors, but also intrusive corporate monitoring by Next Layer itself. Strictly private individually created wallets spun up on demand for use with normal anonymous bitcoin lightning payments. In Client Mode, the ability to register a remote user to Stealth is enabled, making Stealth available in merchants stores and Stealth Entourage for private payments to your posse.

Yes, Stealth Premium is a subscription-based service.

You can pay the Stealth Premium dues by Credit Card.

Merchant FAQ

There is no upfront cost to register as a merchant. However, during registration, you are required to set up an ACH Debit Authorization. This allows us to handle future billing for transaction fees or equipment financing if applicable.

Yes, if you require hardware (such as a POS Terminal). Merchants can choose to purchase equipment outright or utilize our POS Financing/Leasing program. If you opt for leasing, payments are automatically deducted weekly via ACH until the balance is paid off.

We charge a small processing fee for converting Bitcoin to fiat, which is significantly lower than traditional credit card processing fees. Additionally, merchants who enable the "Cash Drawer" feature may be eligible for further fee reductions.

Your sales are settled directly into your connected bank account via ACH transfer.

Client / Individual FAQ

You can register for a Client Node account directly through our website. Once registered, the system will guide you through the node provisioning process so you can access premium features like Stealth.

No. Due to the decentralized nature of the Bitcoin Lightning Network, all transactions are final and irreversible. Unlike credit cards, there is no central authority to reverse a payment once it is sent.
